Of Amanda McIntosh
Brother and Sister McIntosh (Donald and Dorothy) were the father and mother of the bride this weekend (31 August 2015) when they proudly handed over their daughter – Amanda, to the groom; Raphael, to become Mrs Amanda Chisholm.
The wedding was a joyous occasion with the St. John’s Methodist Church packed to the rafters, well balcony actually. A band kept the ambience of celebration high, along with the beautiful voice of singers setting the tone with heart touching love songs. They were actually very good in my opinion.
The bride was stunning! She looked naturally beautiful with a figure that was most likely the envy of all women attending. The groom was dashing, impeccably dressing in a slim fitting suit that enhanced his slim athletic build. They were certainly the most beautiful couple in the Church!
The antidotes of the sermon given by Pastor Richard Jackson were timeless and practical, his theme based on open communication between married couples.
The reception was big! There were over two hundred guests present. All were fed by a professional catering service that made sure everyone had a well loaded plate of food. The table that my wife and I where seated on was the most enteraining of the reception. The guests there were very friendly and we had great fun with the word game placed on the table. Thanks for a great evening to them!
The speeches given by the Father of the bride was loaded with advice and well wishes for the couple. The mother of the groom also spoke, giving similar antidotes, advice and well wishes.
Unfortunately, due to time and other commitments, I had to leave so I am unable to stay just how the reception ended. No doubt everyone had a momentous occasion with the following speeches. I know that my wife and I certainly enjoyed ourselves.
May the Lord walk with the new couple in all the places they must tread.
