Bilston Church Family Grows Again!
Baptism March 2015
With joy and celebration, Bilston church members had their baptism on 28th March. It was actually their second baptism since moving into their new building, and the first since its official opening in February. The two candidates - married couple Glen and Carol Lewis, were baptized by Pastor J Nicholson (at the couple’s request), as he had studied with them during his ministry in Wolverhampton several years ago.
Pastor Nicholson told the congregation that Christ, having paid the price of sin, only ask that we accept that sacrifice and repent of our sins, to leave our sinful bodies in the baptismal pool and arise new in Christ. This lead to an altar call that was answered by those who felt the calling of the plea.
Following her baptism, Sister Lewis - with a voice full of emotion, gave her testimony in poetic form. It was full of words of thankfulness for acceptance into the Church family, of the helpful bible workers that directed their spiritual search of repentance and salvation. It was well received by all who heard it.
