Children's Day 2017

The Children Choir

Our children of the Church did the parents, guardians and congregation proud when the day’s worship was conducted by the children department, celebrating the birth and return of Jesus Christ.

On that note, the children acted out the Nativity play. The congregation loved it. There was some surprise when baby Jesus came on stage, but all was well (thanks to the parents of Heaven-leigh, the baby Jesus).

The crowning event of the day was the three sermons that spoke of Christ birth, death and the return of the King himself. Our speakers; C. Smith, M. Scott and S. Thomandru, delivered the messages for the day (ages ranged from 8 to 11). It was great to see that the Church in general agreed that they did well.

The Children Choir did the mediation and along with the songs in Sabbath School. The service closed with thoughtful contemplation on those children missing from church over the last few years and a benediction in song and a prayer by the First Elder R. Scarlett.

And of course, there was cake at the end of a wonderful (stressful) day!

Children Choir songs:

  • If I Were There
  • He Came He Saw
  • O Little Town Of Bethlehem (What a Crious Place For a King)

All songs are the copyright of GodsKidsWorship

Benediction Song: The Prayer written by David Foster, Carole Bayer Sager, Alberto Testa and Tony Renis. Rendition version was of the Celine Dion and Andrea Bocelli version.

Thanks to the children for all the time and effort they put in to make this a great day! Thanks to the staff of the department whose hard work and support was the foundation for the success today and for the Church to allow the children to make their contribution to the return of the King, Christ Jesus.
