On Sunday 29th June Clarence Crosdale and Enroy Vickers made their mark at the Great Manchester Cycle 2014 event. Rubbing elbows and most likely riding too close to celebrities and regular cyclists, they rode the 26 miles event.
With a gathering exceeding 8,000 cyclists from all walks of life and covering three events – 52, 26 and 13 miles the city centre was packed and closed off from motorists. Overcast for most of the day the brave duo chalked up the miles and finished in fine form in 1 hour and 45 minutes.
This is only the beginning, the Caver Wolverhampton City Marathon Events 2014, to be held on the Sunday 7th of September 2014 will be their next event. They will be doing the 20k Cycling event on semi-closed roads. The idea is to raise funds for the new Bilston SDA Church. They will be joined with members of sister churches too. So give then your support when you see them cycling pass you in Wolverhampton!
