With nervous anticipation and an eye on the clock the glorious Sabbath day sun shone on the family of Bilston Church, as the family gathered together with friends and visitors to celebrate Music Day 2018.
There must had been many prayers offered up to the heavens as the programme for Sabbath school started. Quickly the Church was full and deacons had to get extra chairs out for visitors and friends.
Sabbath school lesson was taken in one by Elder Herbert Griffith. The children performed a version of the Ten Commandments in song with music provided by Clarence Crosdale on the guitar. This was very well received and the children enjoyed the occasion.
Speaker: Forrest Douglas
The main event of the day was the sermon provided by none other than Pastor Forrest Douglas. A gifted orator, a man of wide ranging experiences, a man who could had been anyone’s brother, laid down a spiritual message that touched everyone’s conscience. Even the title of the sermon focus the hearer to what he had to impart – “You were born to sin.”
