The event began with the tables set for breakfast. People where gathered at all the tables. There were about fifty people present, members and friends. Clarence Crossdale got the morning off with a lively quiz master game; asking questions that included a competition between the tables. Points were awarded the tables. James Willox was the one to grace the meal.
It was an enjoyable meal by everyone. The Elder Griffiths gave a short devotion at the end of the meal, the scripture reading was from John 12. He spoke about why people were there and referred to the quoted scripture of people wanting to see Jesus. He asked the question who do we come to see? Some he noted came to see each other. He is hoping to that all came to see each other, to fellowship with each other and continue to do so through the week. So that by next time, it won’t be too long. Most importantly, Jesus is was there too. In everything we do, we should come to see Jesus, he said. Jesus, he noted, shold be the one to dictate our behaviour and we should all be putting out trust in Jesus, so our lives will change for others to see.
