The Scotland Excursion
Bilston SDA Church Members take to the Highlands
A small group of members
A small band of members took it on themselves to invade the inner highlands of Scotland. Gathering on a coach in Wolverhampton on a bright May morning, they took off on a 339 miles journey to the Ben Doran Hotel.
The holiday excursion covered five days, with the small band joining others as they went out each day to explore an unusual sunny and dry Scotland.
Edinburgh, Forth Williams, Forth Augustus, Oban and Balloch were the places visited. Each day a long coach ride to these widely dispersed location but it was fun. The jokes and comrade were free flowing and contagious. There was no way anyone was unable to enjoy the experience.
Our Elder of the excursion conducted a spiritually rich prayer meeting, the room kindly provided by the management of the hotel. Thanks for journeying mercies was very much in context, but it was the awesome majestic views of nature that brought everyone’s focus to the glory and power of God. The fact was not over looked that sin had tinted everything, but in no way overcome the Creator’s identity in the beauty, that is Scotland.
